ParticipantHey XBoxBoy –
I went to an open house at 716 La Canada, too! I agree, it is a really nice house. I don’t really like Tudor style, but that house is great. Very, very well done. I was surprised at the closing price. Obviously a “must sell” to take that kind of a loss.

ParticipantAnd here’s a condo up by UTC (I know, some of you don’t want to call the area east of the 5 La Jolla, but it’s got a 92037 zip, so I’m gonna include it anyway)
Bought in 2006 for $535,000 and just sold for $391,500. A loss of $143,500 in just over two years. That’s a 27% loss for those of you who want percents.Might as well include La Jolla Colony (zip code 92122 north of the canyon, west of Genesee).
7445 Charmant Dr #1702: 36% loss
7405 Charmant Dr #2111: listed 36% below the original conversion saleThose are extreme cases though, 25% off the peak seems to be the average in the area.

Participantxbox,
Whats the address on the UTC condo sold for 391?
The bird rock place was sold for 450K in 96. In ten years it went up from 450K to 2.3M, now 1.8M. Not too shabby!
