Pretty reasonable price: http://abxcollision.com/
One of the best body shops, and they work on all brands (unlike some snooty places)
Thanks Flu, I figured we had a couple of people on the board who had some ideas about this.
Anyone else?
I forgot to mention that if you aren’t looking for showroom finish…you can also try a mobile guy I use to use. He specializes in bumper repair, but also does resprays of body panels. I had him respray a few body panels that we’re peeling clear coat.
It’s roughly $200-300 per panel or half a bumper. Warning: the clear coat texture won’t match and it comes out feeling like an orange peel. it you can also wet sand it and get a nice smooth finish. maybe cheaper if you go to his shop instead of him coming to your house.
I haven’t used him for some time though…I do most of my own body work now on my beater since I wreck the paint racing it , I figure I don’t need the best paint job… Just need to respray every do often…PM if you want his contract.
You can also get pretty decent results with the $60 Wagner hvlp sprayer as long as the paint isn’t metallic. I’ve done that before the using a real spray gun and compressor. and you can get color matched base coat and clear coat at Napa Autoparts in Encinitas and Clairemont or any other Napa store that has a paint dept.
