ParticipantInteresting stuff, Cardiff.
The “lack of sleep” issue is popping up in many different places. It really is a big deal. Most people probably need 8-10 hours of sleep per night, but most of us are running around on 4-6 hours. No doubt, that is going to come back to bite us in the long run.

Guest
The other thing that was a real eye opener for was the issues with Cortisol as it relates to lack of sleep. I personally look back and see (besides eating poorly) weight gain when I went to an average of 6 hours sleep (or less) per night.
Yes, lack of sleep is a real problem. We compensate by overeating.
I know that when I travel and sleep less, I eat more. The big problem is eating more junk food because healthy food is not readily available on the go.
Inflamation is also what causes us to get sick. So lowering internal inflamation means good health.
