Participanti am in favor of no regulation of body covering. I can’t really get worked up about clothing laws, but I can get in a lather about shoe requirements. Shoes should absolutely be optional everywhere. Since I feel so strongly about shoes being wrong, I can sympathize with people who feel that way about all coverings. I say it’s a sad day when San francisco says put some clothes on.
Personally, i would feel kind of odd walking around temecula naked.

ParticipantAgreed. Though private businesses should be allowed to require clothes and shoes. Their premises, their rules. Plenty of restaurants require formal attire for example.
Lastly, it’s funny that the surname of the “sausage” pushing this law is “Wiener.”

Given the political/religious bent of most of the residents there, you should :=]

Wiener’s devoted the last ten years of his relatively young life to public service in SF. He has quite a few ordinances under his belt (pun intended).

He’s actually from your neck of the woods, spdrun!

ParticipantI saw that the supes were going to vote on it a few days ago. I’ve walked up and down Market St numerous times and never saw nude people. Actually, Veteran’s Day wknd (2nd Mon in Nov) is traditionally quite warm up there. But it can get c-o-o-o-ld and windy there from Dec-May. I would think it would be a little chilly to parade around nude 6 mos out of the year.
It’s okay. There are plenty of places these folks can join their nude brethren:

And if they can travel south close to 100 mi or just cross a bridge, there are dozens more!
Meanwhile, around the homefront, they now have to wear a loincloth (females incl) :=]

ParticipantYep, and he’s done quite a bit of good. But if a bus hits him after voting for *that*, I’d chalk it up to karma.

ParticipantI feel pretty ok requiring a coin-purse or g-string anywhere in public.
