The difference between Sizzler(and I would upgrade the restaurant) and $20 per A or whatever…is a simple reward of congratulations(you feed them anyway) vs teaching kids you get money for doing what is expected of them.
In the real world you get money when you have a job or create a business not for going to school. In fact most people go into debt for going to more school.
My husband and I were talking about how many classes truly are meaningless in school. By the time you get to H.S. you figure this out.
He may be ready to figure out a career path and start learning things that actually apply to his future career idea. Unfortunately, even when we find our passion we still have to do things we don’t want to(like go to school, if that is what you expect). It is called the real world and a great lesson to learn.
I disagree with paying kids for grades. They are studying and succeeding for their future. You should motivate them but not with money. Perhaps tell them what will happen if they are not doing well. They will end up working low paying and boring jobs.
