fascinating bit of history; white fear of blacks and gun control…back in the 60’s the panthers were patrolling black neighborhoods with guns to police the police. whites were freaking out. ….Then Gov. Ronald Reagan, now lauded as the patron saint of modern conservatism, told reporters in California that he saw “no reason why on the street today a citizen should be carrying loaded weapons.”
Why don’t conservatives quote Reagan on his rather reasonable gun control positions as mentioned in this interesting story…

That article looks more like a pro-gun/anti-gun control article. The Black Panthers understood why gun control was a bad idea…and the KKK understood why it was a good idea (don’t want those black people having the ability to fight back!).
