CA people are notorious of not yielding right, especially the ones that go under the speed limit or don’t go with the flow of traffic. I think in part people are just distracted or something. Happened last night… I was about to post a rant last night here. Here’s what it would have said.
*edit* deleted rant.
Long story short, driver was driving brand new bimmer was doing 55 in a left lane blocking everyone for about 8 cars back. Couldn’t even stay in his/her own lane while yapping on the cell phone.
I agree, people here want to stake ownership of part of the highway and they have something against moving out of traffic. For example, move out of the slow lane when you see merging traffic.
I think that the worse is that people accelerate and slow down for no reason. They daydream and that causes the erratic driving behavior.

I was stuck behind one of those bozo’s this morning!
Seeing a Camry going a constant 60mph these days is a good thing :)
Yes… in light of current events, I guess you’re right.

April 7, 2010 at 10:35 AM #536766LAAFTERHOURSParticipantNew jersey has had a fast lane is the pass lane only law since the early 90s and cops ticketed people that didnt abide by it.
That law should be universally in place. Good luck teaching most of this state’s residents that one. I grew up knowing that law so I do it all the time unless some shitbox is driving erratically at which point I choose to slow down and box them in.
As far as the emergency light law, I move over if there is room in the lane to the left mostly because of those videos you see of someone getting clipped. I dont want to clip someone on the side of the road so I move over whenever possible, be it a cop, towtruck or stopped vehicle.
