Uco & Cap,
Uco, I am just getting used to the zoom, 18x, & way over did it on that video. I’ll try your tips on holding it. I am usually riding my ATV when I spot something, have to stop, pull the camera out of my shirt pocket and not move while filming. I got the S9100 because it will fit in my pocket.
Cap, I probably could use WMM, but just used the program that came with the camera, ViewNX2, and it requires WAV. One slow step at a time for me.
Thanks for your help.July 19, 2011 at 9:31 AM #711380desmondParticipantUco & Cap,

MP3 is lossy compression, so you are drastically increasing file size with no improvement in quality. If it’s just a case that you have to send files somewhere as WAV, then you have to do it. Best would be to go to the original file and convert to WAV. If the option exists to use MP3s, go for best quality settings. Your won’t lose much as MP3s are good enough for CD quality IMO, unless you are purist, and want to record the Vienna Philharmonic. I use Amadeus. It’s cheap, easy to use and converts to many file formats.
