GuestGranite has an amazing look but one should be careful when using it on the floor. I recently got a quite heavy closet organizer and I had to get a special material to install it on, so it doesn’t damage the granite.

ParticipantWe got Zodiaq (DuPont’s brand of quartz). Ceasarstone is another brand of same. Pretty sure that Silestone is also a brand of quartz.
I have done two kitchen remodels and in both we went for the quartz. In my opinion, it is more high end looking than the granite (which seems so dated and “bubble-ish from the last decade).
The quartz comes in beautiful subtle patterns and colors. Everyone who has seen it marvels at its natural modern elegance and wonders what it is. It’s super easy to maintain and the price points are really similar.
Anyway, something to think about in terms of kitchen updates.
I also like concrete but it was too expensive.
