ParticipantI suggest getting rid of carpet. LOL.
Haven’t figured that out. I’m still working on the range b/c just as I decided to get the GE Profile range, I found out the one I was going to get is stainless top, flimsy stainless that is very hard to clean. I’m told I want enamel. But their enamel model is not recessed and if something spills it will go everywhere, counters, floor, etc. So now I’m looking at Frigidaire ranges, rates as good as GE.February 23, 2011 at 7:02 AM #670024jpinpb

Participant
Anyway, I wanted to thank everyone for the feedback on the appliances. It was a little confusing deciding which to get.
I think we did good w/the KitchenAid refrigerator for $1,600 and I like the Bosch diswasher, ended up being $933 out the door ($900 after the Energy Star Rebate).
We will probably get the GE profile range for $1,175, which is the lowest price friends deal. I’ll get getting it at Humphreys Appliance. They are an authorized GE dealer and were able to work a deal on it.
Have not found any microwave yet. Still working on that. Next is a sink. Think I’m going to get an undermount. Thanks again everyone for tolerating me w/this. Hopefully it’ll help others who are or will be looking for appliances.
What, no USA made appliances? π π
