January 13, 2008 at 12:49 AM #135027little ladyParticipantHi Marion,
Nice to know someone is nice enough to say hello around here…….:)(back @cha’)
I have been writing alot lately……I am constantly checking updates on the market…I am getting REAL ancy.
The home I am looking for is a 4 bedroom with pool, and unfortunately they are hard to come by(in my area)…..Usually, it’s just 4b or pool(with family room, fireplace and RV space). There are a couple up in shortsale mode and one that was foreclosed on in Oct., that needs a ton of work, but they haven’t listed it yet on the MLS.. Now, if I want to get my “exact” location of my hearts desire, when do I buy? If I wait will the few in my area get bought (that don’t even have everything I want) while I wait for interest rates and prices to keep decreasing? I don’t want to catch a falling knife, but I don’t have to wait until bottom either… I don’t see others comming up in my area on these foreclosure sites…..then I think of moving to a different city, to broaden my search of available homes….my kids want this area that specific school and our friends are here……..blaa blaa blaa….just ranting…but if you have any advice…. I ask anyone who believes this:
Why are you going to the polls?
That is the biggest confirmation that you don’t care if there is any change. As long as people vote or don’t vote and stay at home and watch TV or slave away mindlessly to pay debt these elections are a relative success for both parties.I won’t vote for any of the people that are really likely to win and I have not for years. Is that apathy? No it is conscience. We deserve better and so does the world.
Should I vote for the lesser of two evils? No that is incredibly apathetic. Besides, I can’t decide who that is no matter how hard I try. I am not sure I have met anyone who uses that phrase who also isn’t ultimately just lazily voting their own psychological or material self interest. Either way it is apathetic.
Voting my self interest would unjustly put the blood of innocent men women and children on my hands just as much as there is blood on the hands of the current tyrannical regime and those who supported it and continue to support it. I do not ascribe to a policy around maintaining the largest most comfortable middle class we can have irrespective of being conscientious citizens of the world. I would rather be poor than vote for that party.
Where to put my political energy.
Stand my ground on this explain to anyone who will listen the apathy vs. conscience issue. Never ever have television service. Stay as debt free and as free of cravings for comfort and security including job security or selling houses, so that those issues do not interfere with my courage to formulate and state my opinion for life, not just in my 20’s and to listen to and support a truly wise and just leader(ship) or a revolution of some sort when one comes on the scene and just in the case someday my fellow U.S. citizens are ready to do the same. Some people say this revolution/evolution has already started. I expect moreso the former than the latter. One can hope.
