Heck, I don’t even buy retail ink cartridges for my printer. I refill them myself. It’s great for printing pictures, because my costs are close to 2cents for an 8×10 with bulk ink and a one time cost of a ink cartridge to CIS conversion kit.
I used to do that, combined with cheep-o paper sold @ Fry’s every few weeks. The color wears off quickly, five years old pictures are totally washed out. What’s your experience?January 26, 2009 at 11:55 AM #336735BGinRB
The paper is more important in terms of initial print quality. BUT, i don’t expect inkjet printed pictures to last longer than photos. But the nice thing is when they get all messed up, I just reprint them. Currently, my pictures hold up for about 5-6 years, with the ones that get exposed to some sunlight during the days.

ParticipantKIBU — thanks. Spoke with Cox today and they informed me I am on some promotional rate. Takes internet only access down from 40s to 30s per month until March. Told me (very nicely) to go pound sand on a deal after that even after I indicated that I would definitely go to ATT. Their argument was that ATT DSL will have taxes that Cox does not add on? Ok, but still just solving for the lowest monthly rate, so….
