We have to add a mention of the guitar player, Rolling Stone Magazine is said to have rated #2 out of the 100 greatest guitar players of all time:
Duane Allman of the Allman Brothers Band.
Listen to what many consider the greatest live rock album of all time “At Fillmore East” (March ’71)
Less known and less available, but also quite good is their live album, “S.U.N.Y. at Stonybrook, 9/19/71”
You don’t really get how good he was until you listen to those albums and THEN learn the unbelievable fact all that music and more was made before he died at the young age of twenty-four!
Imagine if Duane had lived and kept producing music for years.

I love the Allman Brothers. They had great keyboards too. I grew up on all that Southern Rock stuff. Led Zepplin, etc. Motown was my favorite though. We only had one Black station in town WAPX (Mouth of the South) and I listened to it all the time. James Brown is about at the top of my list for Motown stars.
Here is one my fav songs of his. He so bad.

IF you love music, or at least your heart is ALIVE, you will watch this video and be deeply touched:
Lea Salonga is discovered before our very eyes, to have been CREATED BY GOD to sing the lead in Miss Saigon
WOW!
