unfortunately, Palin is also more interesting to the media because she is weird, odd, strange, and a bit of a joke. that attracts attention and that attracts scrutiny.
The scrutiny and attention Palin receives by the liberal media is consistently aimed at discrediting her or her family. Why spend so much energy on this?
I think ocrenter just explained this: she gets attention because she (and her family) is like Michael Jackson: weird, odd, strange, and a bit of a joke. That always attracts attention…from the media and from humans in general. The media is just searching out more of her weirdness – you view it as “discrediting” her.
I bet *you* still remember the weird, odd, strange kids that went to your high school.
And this has nothing to do with conservative talk radio.
But I’m betting ocrenter is right…you listen to it, don’t you?
And I’m hoping you have the same view of what the media does to Hilary Clinton. Do you think they are bent on discrediting her, too?

Quite simple…Make Palin look like a frickin idiot trailer trash…Then fairly educated yet moderate conservatives (especially folks that are fiscally conservative/socially liberal) like me end up be completely disgusted by her, and possibly end up swaying to other non-GOP candidates (like an independent)….essentially tossing away a vote for the GOP…Guess what? It’s working.
