Let’s face it…English spoken/written in the U.S. is nowhere near as playful and witty as the Queen’s English…So why even bother to pretend?
It was all over when we dropped the “our” from some of the words like color, favor, while keeping it other words like flour… Makes absolutely no sense…(I guess we can’t spell flour as “flor”)…
So, dude, I’ve just, dude, given up speaking/writing proper English, dude. Like, totally, uncool, especially in Southern California. Dude, if someone really spoke proper English, I’d be like whoa, dude…

I took some Chinese classes and I was told that it’s important to understand the root of words.
Same goes for English.
