I have to unfortunately inform everyone that I own a 2011 335i with the n55 motor and I have just had my fuel pump fail. The car is only 2 months old and only has 1500 miles. As always, it started with longer cranks, then an unbelievably odd start where it idle surged, then dropped rpm’s and I finally get the infamous half engine light. (see attachment!) I take it in and they read the code, yep; fuel pump failure! It is currently getting worked on and should have it back by next week. It is ridiculous that this problem hasn’t been fixed after 4 years and a new engine! Just wanted to share…

October 28, 2010 at 11:05 PM #624746OperationParticipantThe difference before BMW nerfed the N54 after our 3rd HPFP? Yes, very much so. My 06′ 330i (with sprint booster) feels much more sprite. The N55 felt like the the “old” N54. In other words – badfawkingazz!
