I think sdlookup has spoiled us in terms of expectations from real estate websites. They’ve really done a nice job integrating Google Maps and making navigation really easy. I use their site constantly and it’s always effortless to get the information I need. However, I am currently in the market to rent a house, not buy one, and there seems to be a lack of quality websites for rentals. I mainly use craigslist, but I have to wonder how many other home rentals there are out there.

Can anyone recommend a useful website for browsing homes for rent in San Diego?

Redfin beats sdlookup IMO but for rentals I think craigslist is it. You can also look at the reader backpage:
