Yeah, I agree with the original poster and think that McCain showed the colors that made me like him tonight.
As a democrat, I am glad he lost.
As someone who has found him interesting and compelling for years, it breaks my heart to see him broken.

True that he did it himself (lousy campaign) but it is still sad to see a good man squashed.

I hope Barack is more than his pretty speeches.

I hope McCain stays around.
As a voice of criticism and a voice of reason, he has (or should have) a voice in any government.

If he had been vp the last 8 years, things would have been a lot better (IMHO).
