I’m a Muslim, a woman and an immigrant. I voted for Trump.
And her reason?
But I am a single mother who can’t afford health insurance under Obamacare. The president’s mortgage-loan modification program, “HOPE NOW,” didn’t help me. Tuesday, I drove into Virginia from my hometown of Morgantown, W.Va., where I see rural America and ordinary Americans, like me, still struggling to make ends meet, after eight years of the Obama administration.
She has no clue how Trump is going to help her pay for healthcare or her mortgage. And neither does Trump.
Did you read beyond the first paragraph? She didn’t have a reason, she had several very well thought out reasons.

As an attorney that’s disingenuous. Overturning R v W would leave it to the individual states to decide – not prohibit it. Plus I didn’t see that as being a very important issue compared to jobs.

I say “rigged” facetiously in keeping with the Trump narrative. By the standards Trump set, the elections were rigged.

Asking his supporters to stop it…excellent!
He’s “fine” with same-sex marriage.
He’s gonna ask Comey to explain himself.
And he’d prefer popular vote to the Electoral College:These are all statements he apparently made this weekend…
This man may have some major integrity after all…perhaps the months leading up to the election were just peacocking…
let’s give the man a chance…

It never was a federal crime – but anything’s possible. More like capital punishment, it was a controversial issue left to the states to decide. Trump sees it as a state law issue if you believe the 60 minutes interview.

In two years, the Republicans party will have the ability to make constitutional amendment(s) unopposed. They are currently one state legislature short to do that. I will not rule out the constitutional ban in abortion at this point.
November 13, 2016 at 11:37 PM #803631FlyerInHiGuestI would like for roe v wade to get overturned. I’m not a woman so I don’t care.
It will be fun to watch the state by state battles.I also want trump to do away with contraception requirement in health plans. As rush Limbaugh said we shouldn’t pay for women to whore around. Let them pay out of their own pockets.

“He was lying all along, therefore he has major integrity!”
Just when you think the mental gymnastics could not get more contorted…

A birth with complications is more expensive than 100 years’ worth of birth control. So are assistance programs for a mother with a kid. Picks your poison.
I’d rather pay people to make love than war. Rubbers and diaphragms are cheaper than bullets.
November 14, 2016 at 10:11 AM #803641FlyerInHiGuestspd, i know. Birth control should be free and dispensed at pharmacies and community centers.
But people should get a taste of states’ rights. In fact, let the Supreme Court overturn all kinds of decisions and let’s have state by state battles.
People and businesses will then begin to vote with their feet and decide what states they prefer. And voters need passion to get them excited.
November 14, 2016 at 10:48 AM #803642spdrunParticipantBirth control? Abortion? Weed? I can see that.
Then you have things like getting rid of the EPA, and you realize that pollution crosses state lines. What do you do if Arizona pollutes Nevada’s drinking water? Sue them and maybe you could get an injunction in 20 years?
We’ve been down this road in the 60s with burning rivers, Love Canal, chromium poisoning. No one sane wants to return there.

That’s why state by state battles would be fun to watch. Let’s give the deplorables what they want. Then they’ll just have to swallow their pride and accept it. Or they can become immigrants to blue states and start over. The last major culture war decision was gay marriage. I was hoping the Supreme Court would leave it to the states. It would have been fun to watch the few holdout states facing boycotts swallow their pride and change laws. Once they change they own laws, they have totally submitted and have no excuses. Treat them like we dealt with apartheid South Africa.
Let’s send abortion and gay marriage back to the states.
