What I find interesting about the AIT scanners is there is no proof they work. The only people claiming that it is an effective screening tool are the DHS folks and the manufacturer. Congress refused to fund this when DHS first asked for the AITs.
But then along came the Recovery Act (aka the stimulus bill) …somehow they were funded in the ARRA bill.
In other words – the AIT scanners are the result of PORK spending.
Also of note – there is no independent testing of the effectiveness of the AIT scanners.

The next time I fly, I’m gonna request a chick for the gropedown. I know all the ladies are gonna want to once they see the size of my schwanz in that x-ray machine.
Hey, if it will keep me safe from the terrists that I know are all around us at all times everywhere, It’s A-OK by me. BTW I think there is a terrist operating the dry cleaners down the street, I’m gonna make a call and turn him in before he does something.

Intrusiveness, incompetence, ineffectivness and insiderism
In its intrusiveness, as- with regards to air travel-it goes far beyond anything in regards to degradation and humiliation of the travelling public.
Its incompetence is monumental, as it will simply make more people avoid flying altogether, thereby putting even more burdens on an already beleaguered industry.
It is innefective, as it will only cause any “real” terrorists to seek more sophisticated and easier concealable means to carry out their attacks or different public targets all together. I mean, what is an infatuation wit airplanes.
The insiderism is the most obvious- the full body scanners are manufactured by a client of the Chertoff Group, run by none other than Michael Chertoff, former Secretary of DHS and author of the USA PATRIOT Act
In one fell swoop, the American public is not only patted down, it’s shaken down as well.Expect more security threats that require billion dollar contracts. Because it’s just too easy
