OT: 10% Sales tax in El Cajon and La Mesa

Looks like the sales tax in La Mesa and El Cajon will be 10% shortly. I was against the city sales tax increases, saying it will be 10% if we don’t stop them.

Arnold beat the local politicians to the punch. http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/state/20081106-1553-ca-statebudget.html If the 1.5% increase goes through El Cajon, La Mesa, and many Northern California cities will have a 10% sales tax. I don’t think that will help the already weak retail sales.

This is going to be a BAD recession. Your kids and grandkids will study the Great Housing Bubble in history.
