    I’d say commercial REITs are a pretty good short at this time.

    REITs were down about 16% in 2007 and many took a wallop today. There may be more downside, but a big chunk has already been taken.

    I drive through Rancho Bernardo often for business. In 2007 on the west side of 15:
    – Two 2-story bldgs have been built. One rented to Broadcom, the other sits vacant.
    – One 5 story bldg has been built. It sits vacant.
    – Two more multistory (3 or 4?) buildings are going up.

    Does the builder not know about the other two vacant bldgs?
