    I imagine this will boost demand for properties around the $546K loan limit, which should help shore up the lower end of the market.

    One can still find a pretty nice house for $546K.

    Broken bells I think the loan limit changes will have virtually no impact on the sub 300 market. I think you have plenty of time and though you should be looking now and maybe even making offers before oct 1 I would not pull the trigger until after Nov 1. In my opinion the winter is the best time to buy.
