Exactly my point. Isn’t the fact that the Dems are having trouble getting this thing through a good thing?
No it’s not. It’s bad because it shows just how POWERFUL special interests are in DC.
There was a editorial by Paul Krugman over at NYtimes.com pointing fingers at the Blue Dogs (conservative Dems).
You may or may not agree with Paul Krugman or the newspaper. But you should read it.
Basically insurance/pharms are pouring $$$ into the few Dems who are basically in control of the health bill debate. Hence what they are demanding don’t sound coherent.

immunization coverage
I’m especially scared at the prospect of losing health insurance if laid off.

It should be a choice. Under the proposed plan you pay a fine if you do not have insurance, except if you are an illegal. Affordability does not equal increased taxes and deficits for the few of us who pay taxes. Reform is in the eye of the beholder.
I’m sorry but i see a few gaps in your logic.
So you are opposed to requiring car insurance for every driver? I’d love not paying $$$ to the insurance companies if I had the choice. But everyone else would feel same way which means the few that pay for car insurance would pay a lot more to cover **hidden** cost of uninsured drivers.
I don’t know of anyone who doesn’t WANT health insurance for himself/herself. If they can afford it, they get it. People ‘choose’ not to get health insurance because it costs way too much. See, they are ‘forced’ not to choose health insurance…
