Why would a listing agent lie on the description of the listing, when there are none of the things in the house?.http://bubbletracking.blogspot.com/2008/07/600000-800000-pool-and-landscape.html
4 beds, 5.0 baths, 3,915 sq ft
–09/2005: purchased from builder for $945,786
–07/2008: listed on MLS, “Sweob $1,299,000-$1,499,000. Shown by appt only please.Owner is lic re agent. This unreal home has views from the ocean to the mountains. In the gated community of varadero at lake san marcos. No mello roos! 2 master suites. Upgraded from floor to ceiling. Richard marshall hardwood, travintine, sculpted & shag carpet. Custom paint though out. Unreal landscaping & hardscape.Entertainers dream home! Full outdoor cooking area. Saltwater, solar heated, pebblesheen pool w/waterslide,waterfall,grotto..Must-c.”What a pool, what a waterfall along with a waterslide. With this completely decked out “unreal” beauty, REALTOR® Toby’s investment is sure to pay off, right? Well, let’s hope so because Toby has completely ran out of funds as he is still unable to come up with the $11,000 needed to pay his property tax.
Except for what his neighbor 3 doors down is pulling…
1750 Cuadro Vista, San Marcos, CA 92078
–4 beds, 5.0 baths, 3,915 sqft
–04/2006: purchased from builder for $958,000
–03/2008: listed for $825,000
–Price Reduced: 03/28/08 — $825,000 to $799,000
–Price Reduced: 04/03/08 — $799,000 to $749,900
–Price Reduced: 05/02/08 — $749,900 to $724,900
–Price Reduced: 05/20/08 — $724,900 to $689,000The neighbor didn’t do a whole lot to the property, and definately no “unreal” saltwater pool with waterslide and waterfall. But then again, the neighbor was able to find $11,000 to pay his property tax (although a couple of months late).
With the spread on the asking price between the two model matched homes at $600,000 to $800,000, things are not looking so good for REALTOR® Toby… But then again, real estate IS emotional, maybe Toby will be finding that buyer any moment now, yes
