Agreed – having any University open a branch office in the TV area is a good thing.
Too bad I just moved both my college age kids to OC so they can attend any of CalState Univ Fullerton, UCI, Chapman University, Concordia Univ, Cal Poly Pomona, Western State U of Law, and any of the other several community colleges in the area within a radius of 30+ minutes.
My observation is that TV is a great place to raise kids but once they’ve graduated HS if they’re still in the TV/Murrieta area during the ages of 18-22 then they’re just wasting their time here, have made some bad choices, going down the wrong path, have no parental support, etc.
Just my observations of the “kids left behind” – left behinds those that have literally moved on with their lives either through military or higher education outside of the area.
For those of you in the TV/Murrtown area and with kids who have not yet graduated HS – plan, plan, plan to help your post-HS age kids out of the area.

I would add that this is a fairly large Campus/hospital/school they are building here if your interested in the areas it maybe worth the drive to check it out.
It’s just getting started and the Campus will extend quite aways from the first buildings they are currently working on.And yes I agree TV desperately needs at least a Community college in the area.
There is Palomar and UC San Marco’s about 35-40 minutes away and UC San Marco’s does have an extension in Temecula area.

June 12, 2009 at 11:18 AM #414512paramountParticipantThe other big question for the TV is how the quarry will impact the area. The city lost the right to annex the land where the quarry will be located, which tells me more than likely this quarry will be developed.
No doubt the county is hungry for tax dollars.
