Scaredycat, I’m fairly sure the Sherry Lane house is where the Supernanny episode was filmed, and it does, indeed, have a pool. A nice one, with one of those rock waterfall slides. It figured significantly in the episode: 8 year old Alexus was playing in the pool, and wouldn’t get out when Mom told her to. So Lisa left her there – “What am I supposed to do? Jump in and get her out?” I knew there was no hope when SN had to respond, “Yes, that’s exactly what you’re supposed to do. It’s called parenting”.
So keep in mind that if you buy the property with the pool, which according to the article will be going up for foreclosure auction any day, you’re going to have to deal with the monumental task of getting your kids out of the pool when they refuse to listen to you.
Oh, the horror!

January 11, 2010 at 10:33 AM #501034scaredyclassicParticipantmy dog obeys me 100% of the time as do the majority of my children. But there’s one small loose cannon of a kid. We’re trying to get him in line, but it is trying. Some small humans are more spirited than others. But the last thing I’d do is invite Supernanny over!
