“Then there is this ‘combo’.. of what I suspect is the sink in a washroom on top of a oak barrel?”
Ucodegen, I have to admit that the sight of that was disturbing. If Lisa’s trying for a spread in Architectural Digest, I fear that her hopes will be dashed.

January 9, 2010 at 9:09 PM #500622eavesdropperParticipantScaredycat, they play several reruns of SN each day on the Style Channel (I think there are a couple other cable channels that are running SN also). I’m sure the Daniels episode will be on again within a few weeks. If I see it scheduled, I’ll post the date and time here.
It is compelling viewing. In actuality, aside from 8 year-old Alexus, the children appeared to be relatively good kids. Definitely not the typical demon seed featured on SN. The real issue appears to be that, while they seem to be quite skilled at procreation, Steve and Lisa are not nearly as adept at actual parenting. Steve got into the swing of things pretty quickly and really seemed to be working on improving his skills. But it was frightening to watch Lisa. There’s some serious pathology there. I’ve never witnessed a disconnect that extreme between a mother and her children.
As I mentioned, most of the kids appear to be fairly well-behaved, and they are truly beautiful children. But I cannot believe their future as well-adjusted adults is assured growing up in an environment like that.
