Dave, I did five years of public service (Navy) before getting married and having children. My priority, now, is raising my children properly. Thereafter — with financial independence, keeping my fingers crossed, from my SDS and gold bets — I intend to return to public service.
Now that I don’t have time, with work, wife, and kids, I give money, instead.
All things in due time.
How about you, Dave?

The duped investors will be lucky to get a penny on the dollar. They can hope for criminal convictions, they aren’t going to be made financially whole. That’s, in my view, the lesson they’ll take from this experience. If they are religious people as they claim, the sooner the come to terms with that reality, the better for their souls.

LOL!!
I’m thinking that if the fraudulent transactions had made you money, you wouldn’t think that anybody did anything wrong and you’d happily be spending that money. It’s only because you are left holding the short stick that you want some kind of recourse.
There’s an age old saying that perhaps you’ve heard: “If something seems too good to be true, it probably is”. You are in your predicament solely because of the bad judgment you exercised while you were in a greed induced fog.
If you’re looking for sympathy, it’s in the dictionary between sh** and syphilis….

June 19, 2007 at 11:01 AM #60441recordsclerkParticipantConned by Crooks did you purchase more then one house?
How many?
Did you pay more then the asking price?
By how much?
Was that amount to be used for monthly payments for loans on homes purchased?
Were you supposed to pay the monthly payments or were the monthly payments supposed to come from someone/somewhere else?
How many payments were they supposed to pay?
Who was supposed to pay the payments after the money ran out?
Did you think the money would not run out or did you think when the money ran out you were going to sell at a profit?June 19, 2007 at 11:01 AM #60474recordsclerkParticipantConned by Crooks did you purchase more then one house?

And therein lies the problem with this whole victims nonsense. These people are not investors. They are speculators pure and simple who did not understand what they were doing. In the process, they were a willing participant in driving the housing prices in SoCal to ridiculous levels.
Tulips anyone????
