I am currently in south MM, a few blocks north of Thanksgiving Lane, and we do not really get flight noise from the base here. I think it’s because we are off to the side of the runway, not in line with it. Sometimes I can hear a roaring from direction of the base in the evenings which I assume is some kind of engine checking on the part of the maintenance crews. Or, it could be from Vulcan Materials (gravel pit directly between MM and the base).
Occasionally (1/couple of months) a “ghetto mosquito” buzzes around over my neck of the woods for a half hour or so, loudspeakering about a lost child or loose suspect or such.
