Carmel Creek Road is quite busy (the portion that is not directly next to Carmel Creek School). I think it would depend dramatically on the exact location of the unit that you are considering. I think any location on Carmel Creek Road that is east of Carmel Country Road will probably be OK. Any way you can check it out by going there during rush hour periods, or when school is just starting or letting out, to see for yourself how busy it can get? That’s what I would do.
Thanks cvmom. I was indeed thinking of the portion that is right next to Carmel Creek school. The portion that is demarcated between McGuire drive and Carmel Country road.
I have driven/walked around there on different days/times and it sounds like a quiet street with the occasional car going by (except when school starts/ends). Just wanted to see if others in the hood think likewise or if it was just a coincidence and I ended up always being there during unusually quiet times.
Hi There!
I can help! I live in that exact spot, directly across the street from Carmel Creek Elementary.
For me, the school itself hasn’t been a problem at all, I leave for work at 7ish, and the school is a ghost town, ditto when I return between 4 and 5. When I stay home from work, there is some noise during the school day, especially at 8:30ish and 2:30ish… For me it’s no problem, it’s the sound of happy kids playing, it’s nice.
There are sometimes sporting events over the weekend, and sometimes after school. This can cause the street to be all parked up, not an issue for residents who park in their garage.
I like the location becuase it’s easy for my kids to get to their various schools and it’s an easy walk to Del Mar Highlands Mall. There is some traffic noise at night being at the edge of the complex.
I’m happy to answer any other questions you have!!!
Thanks for the very helpful input Michael_g_Brown. Much appreciated!
