ParticipantGenesis is great and I really like that car. But I hear it over and over again, “That’s a lot for a Hyundai” or “It’s still a Hyundai”. Brand snobbery is very rampant here. Genesis is selling well relatively and I think the main reason why it’s sell well now is because of luck. Since the economy is bad, people tend to shop for bargain more than ever. If it was released in 2005, I don’t think it would have started off as well. Telling people you drive a Lexus vs a Toyota give a very different perception, even though they both technically are the same car. It’s sort of like telling people you live in Carmel Valley vs living in Mira Mesa. You could be living in a 2 bed room condo vs a large house in Mira Mesa.
