I like the little log cabin on the property, that’d be enough for me… except… the real problem I see with that whole mansion is that is located in the state of Tennessee. Doh!
Dave: Have you been to Tennessee? If you haven’t, you might want to check out Nashville and its environs, especially places like Belle Meade, Forest Hills and Hillsboro (Vanderbilt University).
These places, especially Belle Meade, are gorgeous.
I traveled over a lot of the South when I was in the Army and those travels quickly dispelled the provincialism I had as a NorCal (Los Altos/Palo Alto) boy. Places like Savannah, GA. and Natchez, MS. are beautiful and filled with an incredible sense of history. I’m a huge American Civil War buff and had a blast running through places like Franklin, TN. and Vicksburg.
True but they got mosquitos that sit on power lines and can carry off a house cat.

I like Savannah. I plan to check out Nashville. I’m a romantic at heart so I like the idea of the antebellum South.
I haven’t been to the other places. You know, the fly over country thing, haha…
I’m city boy and my ultimate every day living place is an apartment in Manhattan. A townhouse with a garden would be a dream come true. I want to be around people and do things outside the house.
San Diego does have the best weather.
What would you do in that mansion in TN? It’d be nice for a weekend getaway but it’s too far from anywhere, even as a resort to relax at.
Maybe Al Gore will buy the house.
