Info on Renaissance Units, Specifically Avanti?
We are interested in a starter home in the renaissance part of UTC. Anyone have an insight on the value for units in that part of University City?
I know there are a number of short sales and foreclosures available in the Avanti complex. What does anyone know about the value there? How is the HOA in Avanti doing?
We’d prefer a 3 bedroom with around 2000K square feet.Thanks,
CC
This website has some info.

Good luck!July 7, 2009 at 2:00 PM #426456werewolf34ParticipantVerano is a condo conversion from apts.
The apts are cut small with odd low ceiling. Build quality is crap b/c the conversion effort was awful.
That said, location is great – backs onto a greenpark but there is a lot of default (unpaid HOAs, low owner occupancy) so getting a loan may be hard.
Also a lot of UCSD students live and party there so it is loud.
If you can get a good price, I think you could rent it pretty comfortably
