Echoooo
Participantwe went to copperwood office too, but was hesitate because we feel the price is too high and we don’t like it is so close to San Marcos. Could it be possible someday it will be re-zoned to San Marcos school board? Do you mind sharing the price you paid and what plan on what size lot? Thanks.

I was ok with the price, now that the next phase are selling for 30k more I am better than ok. The month prior to my copperwood purchase I almost bought another older La Costa resale home that was 2,400 sq/feet for 750k. It was 8 years old and it needed some upgrades. I ended up with a 3,700 sq/foot plan 3 Copperwood house, small lot, but great location for little more money.Location:
I too didn’t want to be “just west of San Marcos”, but I’m actually at the highest point of La Costa, with a partial ocean view, and permanent ocean breezes. Take a walk on the fire road just west of rancho sante road, just south of the copperwood models. Right now everything is green, with great water views- It’s reserve I believe. It’s a selling point to the area.School:
Check with your attorney about the potential for re-zoning. I wouldn’t have purchased a home that could be zoned for San Marcos, nor would anyone else who bought there.Good luck. My purchase experience was pretty good, the result has been incredible….

ParticipantHere are some views from our house in Rockledge. That’s what really sold us on them. The school district was key too.
Out the back towards San Elijo Hills
