Don’t forget this blast from the past: John Stewart on Crossfire.
The reason why these people just sit there and take it is because they’ve got nothing to say.

It’s easy to blow him off as a “comedian” but it says a lot when a “comedy” show asks more important questions than the “news” shows out there. It’s no wonder why the younger generations get their news from Stewart and Colbert rather than Blitzer, Williams, or Couric.Stewart may “know nothing,” but at least he has the balls to ask the questions to rectify his know-nothingness.[/quote]
Agree completely!
And it’s not the just the twenty somethings…I get all my news from the internet and from Jon Stewart.
Someone like him was way, way overdue…I’m so sick of being lied to (from both sides of the aisle).

March 13, 2009 at 1:46 PM #365346kewpParticipantUnfortunately, I think Cramer made the best point. That there is a market for CNBC’s pablum.
Think about it, what do you think most of the sheep are going to watch, the show that says their 401k and house is going to make them rich or a televised version of Piggington’s or Patrick.net?
The fact of the matter is everyone that touched the money involved in this meltdown is culpable to some extent. Borrower and lender alike.
