Interest rate for overpaying your federal taxes

So I messed up my 2012 and 2011 taxes that I paid 2012 and 2013 by accidentally counted capital gains and dividends from an account twice….

So I filled a 1040x in for 2012 and 2011 and expected to get a total around $1330 back in refunds..

I got my refund check back, and it included the amount plus $82 in back interest…

That’s like 6% for about 1.5 years….
