    I think there needs to be a Congressional investigation on all of this financial bs. These banks learned from Enron and other financial disasters–set up your company for short term profit and show Wall Street illusory profits, give yourself big bonuses and cash out your stock options during the run up and then watch all the stupid stockholders get crushed when reality sets in.

    There needs to be more public shame, but executives at failed companies like Countrywide, Indymac, Bear Sterns, Lehman Bros. Merrill Lynch, etc. cashed out big money during the run up and now their flawed business models are wrecking the economy.

    These guys are either financial geniuses who knew how to make themselves wealthy with no regard to ethics, or they are the stupidest businessmen in generations with their dumb speculation and giving loans to those who couldn’t repay them.
