Hyper-efficient electric car manuf’d in Carlsbad

What do you guys think of this company? I realize their cars might not fit the standard for everyone’s needs, but for someone like me – just running around town doing errands, it seems ideal.
They’ve even out their batteries into a PT Cruiser, so they arent sticking to the aerodynamic-no-side-mirrors, etc thing.

All we really need to get a good start on Mass transit is a decent bus service along the 15 and 5 freeways, that both also hit the train stations in Ocean side and Escondido .

An article I read talked about the insurance issue about Aptera, saying it is classified as motorcycle and has got insurance permission in California.

Another hot topic is PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid). My favorite company Fisker Auto is building the first PHEV car and claimed to mass produce it in 2010. But I didn’t see Fisker Karma in the X Prize contender list.

I have a hybrid, but at some point in the next several years we’ll need to replace my husbands old truck with something that will fit a family of 4. We’re hoping to get a plug in hybrid or full blown EV.
