ParticipantI love how so many people refer to other people as Christians or even themselves as a Christian when neither bother to actually follow Jesus…..Jesus said you must “walk” as he did if you want to be a follower….if you ain’t walking then you ain’t one.
Jesus didn’t bother getting wrapped up in politics. He did believe in giving to the poor, but he asks everybody to do it and not through government taxes.

ParticipantEdwards is my candidate. It’s not that I don’t like Obama or Hillary. I just feel that, in the end, in the privacy of the voting booth, the many Americans who are closeted sexists or racists won’t vote for a black or a woman. Edwards, IMO, is the only Dem who could win against anybody the Repubs put up…except, possibly, Rudy. Rudy would be all right by me, but his star is apparently in a freefall.
I am so frustrated that these two lightly populated states have such power. One out of 10 people in this country lives in our state. We should have more clout! At least we moved the primary up.
I find Huckabee frightening. Possibly worse than Bush.

ParticipantWait, there’s a political thread here, and no one has mentioned Ron Paul yet?
I agree with the posted National Review article… Huckabee is a dream candidate for the Democrats. I heard a quote that one unaffiliated Republican stratagist suggested that nominating Huckabee would be like nominating Pat Robertson.
Still, it was bad for Romney to take 2nd in Iowa.
