I usually refer to myself as a analyst or administrator. I also don’t care at all as I make the same/more money as the folks with the degree without having gone through the whole beatings thing.

Plenty of people make more money for less work than an engineer. My downfall is that I could proably do something else make more money… But not enjoy it as much. And I do like money!
I have worked plenty of jobs where the technicians make far more money than does the engineer.
