Just watched the Tech Ticker video where the commentator blames NAR for “smoking something” and spinning the downward price pressure we are experiencing into “a rebound (that is) just around the corner.”
I understand what he’s saying here but I don’t see this happening at the neighborhood seller/listing agent level. I just see sellers still living in the past and their agents too weak to walk if they don’t agree to list it right. I saw a top agent around here WALK TWICE on potential sellers in my ‘hood when they refused to:
1) clean up their houses/property for the market;
2) and, list it at the proper price.
How do I know this? I talked to these neighbors a couple of days after this agent left their listing appointment and they were both kind of shocked she didn’t want their listing. duh!
SOME agents will HAVE the CTJ conversation AT THE LISTING APPOINTMENT, but these are the ones that are so busy and successful that they don’t have time to waste on listing idiot sellers.
