You should look into charter and magnet schools too. There’s a lot of school choice in San Diego — even regular neighborhood schools all seem to have a few places for kids from outside the area. Where you live and where your kids go to school can be independent decisions.

October 31, 2007 at 9:25 AM #93598raptorduckParticipantArtifact. You are right I did forget that. I had to commute downtown from time to time from CV and it took around 20 min. Again, I did so before peak hrs so it would be longer during peak hours.
The commute from Encinitas would be a nightmare though. My wife used to live near there and had to come down the 5 and was bumper to bumpter for a good part of it until the fairgrounds and then almost immediately once she got past CV to La Jolla.
With your observation in mind though, perhaps a place south of La Jolla would be better after all.

October 31, 2007 at 9:32 AM #93607RaybyrnesParticipantProblem renting in Carmel Valley.
Many of the Condo complexes in Carmel Valley have serious problems with mold related issues. No having to shine your shoes every week because mold is all over them. Additionally if you are asmatic or have allergies this can irrate those reactions. To the realatos on the board, would ther be a way of getting a hold of the minutes to see if there is litigation with respect to mold related issues.October 31, 2007 at 9:32 AM #93642RaybyrnesParticipantProblem renting in Carmel Valley.
