ParticipantI agree with FLU that it gives one valuable perspective about how fortunate we are in light of the situation over there. There are our collective real estate/economy struggles, and then there are true life and death struggles. I feel for the folks in China, as well as those in Myanmar.
My cousin is traveling in country right now, but she is safe in Beijing.

ParticipantMy niece is living in Beijing, she said she felt the earthquake and the baby inside her felt it too and started kicking!
I’m glad all of your families are safe! If you want to donate to help earthquake victims one charity I’ve worked with is accef. They are non-profit, non-religious, tax deductible, and totally legit.

ParticipantThank you Nostradamus for bringing this up and being so sensitive to the severe crisis on the other side of the globe. It’s times like these that we realize that the issues with finance, stock market, and housing are so trivial when others are losing their lives in such a terrible catastrophy. My deepest thoughts and prayers go out to those who are living this nightmare and their loved ones. I too am glad to hear that our fellow bloggers families are safe!
