ParticipantI will help. It will be a grand pagan re-enactment.
We can wear costumes symbolizing the forces impacting our local economy.
I will dress in a gorilla suit and be the ‘Foreclosure Ape’. Big silverback who grunts and kicks people out of their homes.
There should be an ‘Unemployment Turtle’, slow and heavy. Ponderous, and impossible to move.
The ‘Credit Card Rattlesnake’ can slither around and bite unsuspecting consumers.
The ‘Tourism Moth’ symbolizes those who frequent our region from Arizona, fluttering in and out with no discernible pattern.
The ‘Socialism Shark’ goes around trying to scare people. Boo!
In the end, all of the animals die from starvation and bad water.
Very sad.
(OK, I’m not sure where this post came from…)
