As I recall, the agents in CV were pretty competitive (Ok, they’d kill each other for listings), even when it came to the food. The reason I was asking, though, is at the time the market was still hot and I was just wondering if they still put that added extra perk in there since the cool down.
Also, just fyi, my first agent was very well known in CV, was a top producer for one of the big outfits and you probably know her personally. She was a very nice person and I liked her, but she didn’t bring me one offer.
My second agent came as a referral. She didn’t specialize in the CV area, was not in that clique of agents, was a little abrasive and honestly, we didn’t ever really hit it off that well. However, she was very professional, worked my listing very hard and shocked me with an obscene full-price offer after three weeks on the market.
Conclusion: Agent #1 was complacent enough to rest on her laurels and hope her name recognition sold my listing for her.
Agent#2 knew the market was overpriced and worked her butt off to get while the getting was good. I’d like to see more Agent #2’s out there.
