“The problem is that you’re claiming that you have moved out of California. The software knows that is a lie because no one leaves California”.LOL!! We hated to leave. We lived in SD for 30 years. But…….we saw the strong potential for a bubble burst in the housing market and made a hard decision to take our cash & wait out the storm in a much less expensive area. When the bottom reveals itself, we will move back. Until then, we’re patiently watching & waiting.
noone…………….Still LOL!!

My husband who left there in 2000, went to Korea for a year and ended back here in 2001, and has lived at our present address for 6 years, just received a $900 past due registration bill for the last 7 years from VA!
Of course it was one of those threatenting type of letter, like they have been tring to contact him for years, (1st correspondence). They didn’t have a problem finding him now, must be in need of some extra cash.
The only thing they would take as proof of change was insurance, not registration or state lic. just insurance.
So we are not the only state that is goofed.August 17, 2007 at 1:47 PM #77262novice1027ParticipantWell apparently the state of VA is not much better.

I now have over 110 organizations that for one reason or another have my address, email address, phone number etc! I even update magazines that I no longer receive so that I don’t get renew notices at that old address. Even after updating them online, at least 15% needed to be re-updated because the change didn’t take affect. We are talking major companies like banks etc.
