sdcellar, how can your BS detector be taking off when it’s already in the stratosphere? All I can say is, like most people, I’m quite disappointed in my investment performance over the last 5 years. I feel the market will yield >4% return yearly for the next 15 years, that’s why I’m still in equity. Since you talk a great game about investment, what do you think is a reasonable expectation of ROI in equity for the next 15 years? Once you tell us what your expectation is for ROI over the next 15 years, then we can leave the investment part of this conversation alone for the next 15 years. After 15 years, if this site is still around, we can return to this portion of the conversation and see who’s right.
Yes, I drive a 92 Lexus and love Souplantation.
BTW, there seem to be quite a few people on this site who have no problem saving 30%+ of their net income. I guess according to you, a lot of Piggs are atypical huh?

On the cars, I believe you completely. On the restaurants, same thing. Vacations too.
With regard to saving $4000 a month and investing in anything significant beyond your 401(k) mutual funds, I’m almost certainly convinced that you’re strreeeeeettching the truth.

May 23, 2010 at 1:16 PM #553127sdcellarParticipantAwww, you changed your post. I guess only me and a few other lucky Piggs get to know exactly what cars you drive, exactly where you like to eat nice dinners and your favorite vacation spots.
I can appreciate a desire for privacy so I won’t out you, but you’ve never seemed too concerned about it in the past, so could it be that your answers would also lead others to go “huh?”.
Anyway, you certainly seem to be able to do and have it all and are well on your way to to road to riches. You should write a book because I am _certain_ people would love to know your secret.
I think the ’92 Lexus is a piece of crap and I like Souplantation a lot.
I’ll answer your savers question on the thread you posted.
