Participant
Amex not so gooder right now. I’m having a dispute with a gym in Sydney and Amex is NOT backing me up. They are insisting I provide proof I ended my membership as opposed to taking my side.

ParticipantI have 2 amex cards. One I am letting idle (hilton rewards). The other is a costco amex.
Anyone want to take a guess which one will get yanked first?

Participant
Was just talking to a friend on the phone and she told me AMEX canceled her card and yanked her 105K accumulated points. They offered no explanation.
She’s an attorney, makes over $200K per year and has pristine credit. They lost a customer that could have been worth tens of thousands of dollars over the years just to save a few hundred bucks by denying her reward.
CEO’s are now desperate to squeeze every dollar out of short-term earnings, and they are willing to destroy their business if necessary.
I have an AMEX cash reward of close to $1000 bucks coming to me in a few months. I’m wondering what the chances are that I’ll see it…
Maybe because her profession makes her a huge Amex risk 🙂
