I don’t know how much having many vs. not having many cc’s affects your score. I have 1 credit card that I use lightly and pay off every month. My credit score is 805. Only other loan I have is mortgage.

JoshMarch 17, 2009 at 6:36 PM #368311AnonymousGuestWas just talking to a friend on the phone and she told me AMEX canceled her card and yanked her 105K accumulated points. They offered no explanation.
She’s an attorney, makes over $200K per year and has pristine credit. They lost a customer that could have been worth tens of thousands of dollars over the years just to save a few hundred bucks by denying her reward.
CEO’s are now desperate to squeeze every dollar out of short-term earnings, and they are willing to destroy their business if necessary.
I have an AMEX cash reward of close to $1000 bucks coming to me in a few months. I’m wondering what the chances are that I’ll see it…
